Troop 740, was chartered in 1949 and has been a continuously active troop in Kingman, Kansas, a rural town about 30 minutes West of the "Air Capitol" Wichita, Kansas. We are chartered by Kingman United Methodist Church located at the corner of Spruce St and Avenue D East. Our Boy Scout Cabin is located at 535 West Sherman St. Our regular meetings are held the first and third Tuesdays - September through April.
Many boys have graduated from the troop with the skills, values and self-confidence necessary to guide them through their entire adult life. 60 Scouts from Troop 740 have earned their Eagle rank, the highest rank a Boy Scout can attain.
The values we and the Boy Scouts of America strive to instill are based on those found in the Scout Oath, Law, Motto, Slogan, and Outdoor Code.
